Homeschool Support Program

Quebec Curriculum Support for Homeschooling Families in an Islamic Setting.
Begin Homeschooling with Confidence

Is the School System Meeting Our Children's Needs?

The current state of Quebec’s public school system is very disparaging, with budget cuts leading to fewer resources, a persistent teacher shortage resulting in unqualified staff, environments that expose children to harmful influences, and increasing challenges for Muslim families to practice their faith freely.

Significant Budget Cuts

For the 2024-2025 school year, Quebec's education network is facing substantial budget cuts, reportedly over $670 million. Among the potential impacts are reduced student support and resources and overcrowded classrooms.

Persistent Teacher Shortage

The system is grappling with a severe teacher shortage. At the start of the 2024-2025 school year, thousands of positions remained unfilled, leading to Increased Reliance on Unqualified Teachers (nearly 10,000 as of December 2024). On top of that, the government implemented a hiring freeze in November 2024, extending into the 2025-2026 school year.

Negative environment

Children are often exposed to negative peer-pressure, such as hyper sexualization (pornography, masturbation), premature relationships, violence, music with violent and obscene lyrics, smoking, drugs, etc.

Difficulty practicing faith

Many Muslim students find it challenging to practice their faith freely in public schools. Issues like difficulty with daily as well as Jumu'ah prayers, exposure to non-Islamic events, concerns about Haram food, intermingling, and teaching of atheistic or Islam-contrary subjects can create an environment misaligned with your family's values.

Why Homeschooling?

Feeling uneasy about your child's school environment?
Concerned about what they might be exposed to?
Want a trustworthy environment for your children?

What Our Students Are Saying

Discover the transformative experiences shared by our students! At Enlightened Path Institute, we take pride in providing an exceptional learning environment. Here's what our students have to say about their journey with us.

“Extremely blessed & humbled to have scholars of this calibre”

Upon commencing my studies at EPI, I was greatly surprised at the exceptional qualities of the teachers. They have not just authentically mastered the knowledge and its principles, which is incredible on its own, but also live by it, embodying the Sunnah and sticking with it through thick and thin, letting the authentic heritage of prophethood guide them through the tumultuous waves of time.

The more I search, the more I realize: These qualities are extremely rare, and they are what distinguish a true Alim amongst the many men who can teach the Arabic, Hadith & Fiqh terminologies. I find myself extremely blessed & humbled to have scholars of this calibre as teachers here, May Allah swt preserve them and accept their efforts as a means of guidance for the entire ummah, Āmīn
